Using her research experience in Benin, West Africa, Dr. Reynolds outlines the mainstays of Vodun practice and illuminate a religion that is usually transmitted orally.
About Dr. Reynolds
Dr. Sarah Reynolds received her Ph.D. in anthropology from Tulane University. She is currently a Postdoctoral Associate at Rice University’s Boniuk Institute for the Study and Advancement of Religious Tolerance. Her research focuses on the Vodun religion and its intersections with race, gender, and national identity.
